Well, well. It seems that BitTorrent Inc. is being sued for patent infringement on a patent (7301944) for "distributing media files with adaptive transmission protocols." Except, it is difficult to see how BitTorrent has to offer "protocols adaptive transmission. "In fact, looking at the patent, it is difficult to see what he has to do with BitTorrent at all. The patent requires a database to store the file, but BitTorrent is the transmission system, not a database. Anyway, it looks like (another) attempt to drag patents by a company, Tranz-Send distribution network, which does not seem to do anything really. To paraphrase the movie social network
