Outspoken Acer Chief Tells Microsoft to Tread Carefully on Surface

On the surface, Microsoft hopes that its strategy of shelf Windows 8 will light in the mobile space and stealing a slice of the market share of Apple , but at what cost? It is not an insignificant matter. Microsoft relies on partners for hardware vendors increase their Windows platforms, and take control and run with them, the Redmond company is essentially biting the hand that feeds it. Lest anyone think that Microsoft's OEM partners are taken lightly, Acer chairman JT Wang has published a word of warning to Microsoft.

Microsoft is "thinking" on Financial Times reports. Wang said his firm FT.com talked with Microsoft and the software giant said it plans to release the surface on the market "will create a major negative impact on the ecosystem and other brands may have a negative reaction . Not something the right way please think twice. "Reading between the lines, it is as a veiled threat can get. Acer Microsoft is basically telling you if you insist on playing with fire in direct competition with its suppliers of equipment, the company will burn. Whether or not actually Acer Windows and some drop out of spite or as part of what they believe is a smart business decision remains to be seen.
