BAE Systems speaks about unmanned ASTRAEA: no reason it can't stay in air 'for weeks'
BAE Systems is not a new concept - the company was playing to their potential unmanned for some time - but it all seems quite less than castles in the sky, now that the Farnborough Air Show has been released. Generally, the drones are believed to be smaller, the type of drone machines, these things are often used in military exercises necessary to distance shots or recognition. Clearly it is time that someone asked the obvious: "Why?" Hepenstal dopping Lambert, director of systems engineering and strategy, military aviation and information and BAE ASTRAEA Program Director recently spoke at the event mentioned above, noting that this particular aircraft could "open a new market." He continued, "the current search and rescue aircraft are limited by the endurance of man, but with a drone there is no reason why you can not stay for weeks." Unfortunately, he also stated that there are no plans to send real human beings in the air without a pilot on board, but if you're rich and spirited enough to transport you ... so be sure to send the video. Also, good luck.
