postheadericon Which is the best tablet for reading?

not want an e-reader, but I want to buy a tablet for long hours of reading, including PDF files. What is the best?

tablets are more popular than electronic readers for books, documents, PDF files, etc. I wonder if there is a screen resolution ideal for long hours of reading text. Is the difference between 10 ppi Google Nexus and the Apple iPad in April produce a different reading experience? In particular, the tablets may lower resolution based on the Atom removable keyboards such as the Lenovo ThinkPad 2 (in pencil!) Competing with them to read PDF files?

I want to play a reading experience, but do not want an e-reader. I'm not an Apple fan, but I'm ready to buy an iPad if it offers the best reading experience.

There is no " best "for all kinds of tablet reading in all kinds of situations, ranging from sitting in the midday sun for reading in bed. In addition, people have different responses to different types and screen sizes, especially when playing for long periods. For example, it seems very bright screens looks really impressive in the first 10 or 15 minutes, but soon tired, so I can comfortably read a dimmer screen less contrast more. Others may find the opposite happens.

In general, I think e-readers provide much experience in a book reading for longer periods, and the front lit Paperwhite Amazon Kindle (which I discussed in technophile) is a distance of the best group. However, I have not found much better than my Google Nexus 7 for casual reading. In addition, its small monochrome screen is not the best for each type of material. For example, if I wanted to read a magazine or picture book travel therefore prefer a color screen bigger, like 4 Apple iPad.

When it comes to PDF files, it depends on the content. You can read the PDF files that are mostly text on a Kindle, but PDF files that contain a large number of diagrams and color illustrations will be better on a big screen color, especially if you have to go back and forward. The Kindle is designed to read page by page.

Paperwhite

Kindle e-reader is better than the tablets in the treatment of a wide variety of lighting situations. The tablets are difficult and sometimes impossible to read in direct sunlight and bright screens can pick up glare. The Paperwhite also wins for being so small and light like a book. Large tablets are much more tiring to hold for long periods.

Options Otherwise, in terms of size, resolution and price, the best option may be the Kindle Fire HD. Its 8.9in screen is much smaller than iPad (9.7in) and has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and 254ppi. You lose access to the Android Market, which is now called Google Play, and the user interface is a little groggy, but is a good value for ? 225.

By all means take a look at a Nexus 10: You can also find what I like. It was the choice of Kate Bevan in his recent review tablet compared technophile, which includes a useful list of specifications of the tablet. Otherwise, you can get both a Kindle Paperwhite (? 109) and a 8.9in Kindle Fire HD for about the same price as Nexus 10.
