Being in the center of a sensation even be lucrative - but Berlin shows the glory of the application does not always pay
Welcome tosame glory he wakes up one morning and, although none of your doing, millions of users around the world have seen his face. And as if his star status overnight was not enough to handle, how about this: most of the time, the person who makes the profits of your glory will not be you. It can be a rude awakening, and a raver unidentified German known as Techno Viking is also necessary to continue Matthias Fritsch, the artist who has filmed more than ten years, during a parade in Berlin delirious.
"I am being charged for the creation and publication of images related to the Techno Viking, therefore, a violation of human rights," said the Daily Dot Fritsch when the trial began in Berlin last week. "They also say that I make a lot of money for it."
Techno Viking Internet became a legend in 2007, when taken Fritsch - Fuckparade filmed in Berlin in 2000 - went viral. In the four-minute video, the man without shirt and pony tail, now known as Techno Viking gravity points to a man who stumbles upon a woman dancing. After striking a menacing pose, Techno Viking steps forward with a group of dancers in tow. As the Daily Dot Kevin Morris has described the video appears as a form of "accidental art and hilarious."
and "art" that led, like all memes today. After the video had collected what makes views 40m Fritsch, Internet users has led to the creation of thousands of parodies, macros, images and pictures of art inspired by the fan. Techno Viking got his own comic and became an action figure. He inspired paintings and tires "tweet-powered" heads. Techno Viking, but said he never received a penny for this.
- When news broke of demand, digital citizens did not take the news very politely: Techno Viking - Fritsch who refuses to name - is supposed to be a cool guy, and certainly not the kind of dispute. And as for the glory meme goes, he had a pretty sweet: he became the incarnation of a Norse warrior digital, but not all are so lucky Twenty years
more trying to prove that he is a decent human being every day, it is "people and pretending to represent me" every day on social networks. Boston cites Twitter user @ Steve_Scum, who claims he is "Scumbag Steve official" in your profile, for example. @ Steve_Scum has 100,000 followers and 5000 in Boston, and you can buy a tweet from @ Steve_Scum sponsored by the low price of $ 340. Boston is at a loss as to how to file a complaint about the bill and regretted not buying all related domain names when he was "famous". Worse than that, he says, is that large companies use their faces to sell advertising without his permission: "I'll see these sites flag for me, and I have a penny," he wrote in an email Boston. "People say lawyer, but how can I?" M A single father trying to survive. You know what sucks? If I [lawyer up], I will be considered a spoiler. "
