governments around the world have launched a wave of open data - all spending by crime and health. Now you can compare the data at national, regional and hundreds throughout the city places around the world.
But the good thing is that these data? We want to see what you can do with it. What are the applications and visualizations can be done with this information? We want to see how the data changes the way you see the world.
In collaboration with Google and the Open Knowledge Foundation (to help us evaluate the results), see if you can win the prize of $ 2,000.

The competition is open to citizens of the United Kingdom, United States, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden. The winner will receive $ 2000 and the result will appear in the data warehouse stored in our Show and Tell site.

1. The data visualization contest (the "Contest") is open to legal residents of the UK, USA, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, at the age of 18 years from the date of entry ("You") subject to paragraph 2. below.
2. Employees or agencies of Guardian News & Media Limited ("GNM", "We"), Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), their group companies or family members or anyone else connected with the competition can not participate in the Contest.
3. By entering the Contest, you accept these terms and conditions.
4. To participate, you must create an original display of a set of publicly available data that helps us to visualize the flow of data around the world (that data visualization is the "Presentation").
