postheadericon Review: Seagate Satellite Mobile Wireless Storage (500GB)


Although it is a good all-around portable unit, the rationale for 500GB Seagate GoFlex Satellite Mobile ª Ã to be used wireless and multimedia files over Wi- Fi. The device creates its own local access point that can connect to any device with a web browser searches for documents, videos, music and photos stored on disk. Seagate GoFlex also dedicated to providing its customers the means to Android and iOS devices.


The Wireless Mobile Satellite run its internal battery for about 7 hours, according to Seagate. You can use the supplied USB cable or wall adapter or car charger unit for power or charge the battery via DC connector of the unit. As GoFlex USM (Universal Storage Module), the satellite also has a USB 3.0 port bridge adapter that plugs into the bottom to allow direct connection to a PC. The satellite is an artist mean: We wrote our mixture of 10 GB of files and folders in 38.5MBps and read 60.8. This is roughly the same as the Slim Seagate, but is about 9 Mbps slower than the WD units and Rocstor. When the satellite was lost ground in reading and writing our single large file of 10 GB, a task that is performed in 79.5MBps 71.8MBpsâ which is fast compared to USB 2.0 drives, but is of about 20 -? ??? A 30Mbps slower than the other four units of this round.

satellite software is the website mentioned above plus a PC utility which allows you to register the device via the Internet. The site is very well made, automatically catalog the files on the disk, and it is easy to use.
