postheadericon Bradley Manning Willing To Admit To Leaking Info To Wikileaks, Hoping For More Limited Trial

Bradley Manning during the trial martial Manning apparently made a presentation on the reasons to try to accelerate the process of effectively admitting that the leaked information to Wikileaks, not plead "guilty" one loads. The idea seems to be a step in the process of trying to take a shortcut to focus on minor charges in admitting certain objective things, and leaving some of the most serious charges in the table. This is not a "plea bargain" in which both parties agree - but rather an attempt to actually say "this is what we agreed, without having to go through the effort of test, then we focus on these less serious charges. "The judge is not obliged to accept the offer, however.

Manning not guilty of the crimes charged in the first call. However, significantly, as shown in this notice you are willing to admit that to provide information to WikiLeaks took place or that the government has evidence that he committed the act and that you are ready to declare.

The announcement was a call to lesser included offenses with different elements accusations that the judge may agree on the existence of evidence of more serious charges . Begging lesser included offenses can not pray to the commission of crimes under the Espionage Act Fraud and Abuse Act, or (CAFA). Important may plead guilty without accepting the responsibility of government "intelligence with the enemy" or "exceeded authorized access" on your computer

In particular, this report Kevin Gosztola of Firedoglake, states that even if approved, Manning could end life in prison for "aiding the enemy".
Meanwhile, Andy Greenberg notes that simply did not join this offer to Manning in this post - especially if the government does not accept the offer (the judge must accept). May terminate, and can not be used against you. It is essentially an attempt to speed up the process, as well as the recognition that Manning is almost certainly be guilty of something, try to reduce the number of possible objections to things that are not so serious.
