XCOM series gets a reboot, but this title is turn-based strategy to fight against their classic predecessors?

There are certain things you expect in a game of XCOM: guns, blood, explosions foreigners. A 7-foot super-soldier to face Sid Meier? Not so much. Yet it is there, dressed in black armor finest smooth and ready to do some serious damage to the hordes of terrifying creatures.

This is a Chrysalid and is not to be messed with.

Not that you get it early in the game, mind. Sid Meier is one of a collection of weapons and equipment that you can access by the end of the tail to the reboot of the classic game in 3D turn-based strategy.

jet packs are rising to senior positions of greater precision shooting, plasma rifles can blow the face of a sectoid in seconds, ghost armor makes you invisible to the enemy, and mind control techniques that allow the use of weapons against enemies of each other.

With a powerful arsenal of weapons comes from a powerful enemy, and in the final stages are the Enemy Unknown Chrysalids. They are, by the looks of them, the last of all foreigners of XCOM. The growls and claws wave Drools and manic and jumping and destroy their soldiers.

But these soldiers are there to serve, knowing the price of freedom. And you, as commander of XCOM, make sure they do their best to defeat the alien invasion and watch the overall survival of the human race.
