postheadericon Opera Joins Chrome and Firefox On The Rapid Release Bandwagon

OperaChrome has brought plenty of amazing new innovations to the table since its introduction less than three years ago, but one feature of Google's flagship browser caught all the established players off guard, their ability to iterate at an unbelievable pace. Some simply accuse them of being too liberal with version numbers, but either way you look at it in less than 30 months Google has gone from a beta release, all the way to version 12, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

You can call it clever marketing if you like, but one seems clear, this kind of version numbers seem to appeal to consumers. To a fickle generation of Web users engaged with a brand, browser manufacturers have regarded as innovative as fast as Google, or risk being left behind. Firefox is well known, this concept through a jump from version 4 to 5 in a few months, re-enforced, and Opera is always ready to party with today's accession Alpha version of Opera 12 , 11.5 Less than two weeks after the debut of the version.

Opera 12, codenamed "Wahoo" (yes, after the fish), was designed to be executed next version 11.5, so try that users, to give the alpha version like, this can gladly do without ditching the latest stable version. Opera 12 alpha currently is little more than a number of bug fixes and performance improvements, but we expect to see more as the weeks roll on.

Keep up with Firefox Opera candidate in the race with Chrome, you think, Redmond finally cave to the pressure and increased the release rate for Internet Explorer? Companies have weighed much against the idea of ??a quick release for compatibility, so Microsoft may elect to sacrifice a little ground in the consumer sector, especially if it means maintaining their position in the corporate world.
